IF.......the Lions win & the Crusaders lose......i'll have an excuse to test drive a few bottles - the missus says i need an excuse these days:bounce:

Would that mean a quarter final against the Sharks?

If that is the case and the Crusaders do lose.......I wont bother going to the game tonight because the Sharks will throw it.

Lions will get a home game regardless of what happens today.

Ja but if they end up first I'm sure its a quarter at Ellis park against the Sharks.

Imo a top of the table finish virtually seals the title for the Lions.

We need the Cusaders to lose but they are 1 point up with 20 to play.

I read this morning that Robert du Preez crapped on his players again for lack of commitment. I think it's the 3rd time this year that I've read similar reports.

Perhaps he should give credit where credit is due instead of blaming his players attitude all the time.

Then again.... nice guys come second.

Gary Teichmann has clearly made a major difference. The players would never have accepted a crapping out under John Smit and Jake White.

Sometimes the opposition is a better side and no matter how much you crap on them, the Lions are just better.

True yes. Go lions. Do it for SA. Or don't. No excuses.

Prior to super 8 there was a super 6 with 3 NZ teams, 2 Aus teams and a south seas team.

I was not aware.. The Lions I think played in the Super 10 which was the first comp SA took part in and won it.

I remember that. The year after the 1995 WC.

It was prior to 1995, actually. Around '92/'93, I think. It was then called the Super 10, which replaced the Super 6. The Super 6, in turn, replaced another competition called The South Seas or South Pacific Competition, or something to that effect.
