Thank Topley! Once again almost snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.......Domingo's public support of Joe P*** is just.................. embarrassing.

Weird weather for February and Newlands has a fickle pitch.

No excuse Wanderers and centurion produces decent one day pitches all year round no matter the weather.

Well, it wasn't really a bad pitch now was it?

None of the batsman could the time the ball properly or hit through the line so yes I would call it a bad limited overs pitch.

Much better pitch provided again here at wanderers.

Great performance by the boys. Smashed england

Good to see the "top order" actually deliver.........for a change.

The Wanderers is a "stadium"......Newlands is a "ground"...with pitches to match

If this game does not signal the end of JP's career it will take death itself to do so. How much longer can the team play with 10 players? Not to mention the gift 24 runs he gave them which so very nearly made the difference. The he fails with the bat - again! I think JP owes Miller drinks every night till the WC!

Well done Proteas. After all this negativity of late, let's hope the boys can move up.

This could be a very tough series...........both batting lineups are brittle to say the least

Is over stepping still a no-ball? Doesn't seem like it in Cape Town.............

Umpires seem to be missing a lot of no balls the world over. Pattinson got a wicket on a no ball here which was overturned but had bowled 4 no balls in two overs before this which weren't called. Hard job umpiring but that is poor

The commentators counted 12 not called in the SA innings. If SA lose by 11 we may get a reaction but, right now it seems to have all been forgotten. Yes, bowlers should  be more responsible but ultimately the umpires are hired to make sure everyone plays by the rules..........?

Basically the umpires have been told to concentrate on the business end of the wicket as the authorities believe any wicket taken by a no ball will be taken care of by TV.

it is my belief that this hurts the bowler more than the batsmen. In any event I have long believed that that is enough time for every ball to be reviewed by the 3rd umpire. The days of the free hit are long gone.

You two are either up early or up late.

I like the idea of the all no balls being reviewed by the third umpire but this is not possible at lower levels so we are going to wind up with elite umpires not used to checking no balls. I think we still get the umpires to call no balls but have the third umpire overrule where obvious no balls are missed

Bloody dogs needed a walk.

The problem is I have seen elite umpires call legit balls as no balls. The lower levels don’t have snicko, ball tracking or hot spot either.
