Agreed. Similar to what the old Apartheid and/or Nazis did to prove Jews were 1/8th or 1/16th or whatever portion they deemed Jewish or 'black'/'coloured' at the time. Just as ridiculous :36_11_13:

DdA's father is of Spanish decent. White European on all count's. As for QdK, his father is white. My wife tells me that government employees of mixed race are classified as follows: If the father is white - white, if the father is black - black. Talk about sins of the father and gender equality. Bloody farce.

So you have black Coloureds and white Coloureds. By that definition, Trevor Noah is not a brother any more. He is a white dude. DdA's dad is Portuguese.

I didn't say it had. You underlined the Apartheid with a Huh question. It is well known the Nazis used silly methods to determine 1 fucking 32th Jewish to suit their classifications. The Nats used similar to suit their classifications. That's what the point was. All similar to today's classifications. Same soup different bone

:36_11_6: My father is a boertjie. If he goes back to Great Jan then he probably has 1/50th "blackness" somewhere. At least, if not more.  I'll have to go trace his records and use them to my advantage in the new SA after all.

All TIC of course:15_8_217:

In any case, the above is nothing but popkak.

This, about DdA - Oh, and Draad, you are correct. His old man is of Spanish decent):

“Damian is een van my twee seuns waarvoor ek baie lief is.

“Almal gaan tekere oor transformasie in Suid-Afrikaanse rugby.

They also think they are going to stop the player EXODUS. But this team is a clear indication to many players that if they ever want the chance to play international rugby in certain positions, it is best that they compete on an equal footing in other countries for their national squad/s. Add to that the value of the rand, as it is currently and its probable future value and it indicates that NOW is the ideal time to leave...

Rugby Stormers' Bok prop off to Saracens

Cape Town - English and European champions Saracens have announced the signing of Stormers prop Vincent Koch.

Koch, along with Scotland wing Sean Maitland, will join on two-year deals ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Spoiler

They join alongside new signings Schalk Burger (Stormers), Mark Flanagan (Bedford Blues) Alex Lozowski (Wasps) and Save Rawaca (Fiji 7s).

Koch, who is currently preparing to face England Saxons with South Africa 'A', will link up with Saracens after a spell for the Stormers in Super Rugby that has seen the 26-year old capped by the Springboks on two occasions.

Speaking about his move to north London, Koch told Saracens' official website: “I am very honoured and privileged to join a champion team like Sarries. Ever since I visited Saracens I just knew that they would be the perfect club for me. I’m really looking forward to join the boys for the upcoming season to begin the hard work for the 2016/17 campaign.”

Wing or fullback Maitland will join Saracens from relegated side London Irish. The 27-year-old, who can play on the wing or at fullback, has agreed a long-term contract with the Exiles. New Zealand-born Maitland has 21 caps for Scotland and also toured Australia with the British & Irish Lions in 2013.

Maitland who is currently touring Japan with Vern Cotter’s Scotland side, commented: “When I was approached about joining Saracens I had no hesitation in accepting the opportunity to join up with their squad.

“The results they have achieved this season speak for themselves but what really appealed was the burning desire from the coaches to continuously improve and evolve. I think the surface at Allianz Park will suit my game and I look forward to meeting up with my new team-mates in the summer.

“I've really enjoyed my time at London Irish this season despite the obvious disappointment in getting relegated. There are some great people and players there, and I am sure that the talent within the squad will see them back in the Premiership in 2017/18.”

Saracens director of rugby, Mark McCall, commented: "Having already announced a number of signings earlier this year, we are pleased to have finally secured each of our targets.

"We identified Vincent as a player who could make a significant contribution to the squad at tighthead prop and at 26 he is a player with huge potential.

“Sean is a highly experienced and proven international three quarter, and we believe that he will flourish here.

"Both players are exactly the kind of characters we think will thrive in our environment, and we are confident they will become key players for Saracens.”

I think we've discussed this an numerous occasions.  Can you blame these guys? I would - if rugby was still a game of passion for your club and country.  But rugby is a business, for these guys it is a job and they need to make some form of provision for the day they can no longer play.  They are sacrificing a good few years in the formal job market as it is.  In SA today with AA and BEE and all the other draconian labour laws their successful entry into the job-market is all but guaranteed.

I am 100% certain that if I was in a similar position I'd do exactly that - charity begins at home!

ape Town - The Springboks have released four squad members to the SA 'A' side for the first of their two matches match against the England Saxons in Bloemfontein on Friday evening.

Hooker Scarra Ntubeni, flank Sikhumbuzo Notshe, scrumhalf Nic Groom and flyhalf Garth April are all members of the 31-man Bok training squad that first got together last week in Stellenbosch. They will join coach Johan Ackermann and his SA 'A' side on Tuesday evening in Bloemfontein and will be in action on Friday.

The four players will rejoin the Springbok squad on Saturday in Cape Town, where the Boks are facing Ireland in the opening Test of a three-Test series. The two remaining encounters between the two sides will be played on consecutive weekends in Johannesburg (June 18) and Port Elizabeth (June 25).

Meanwhile, the Springboks continued with their final preparations for the weekend’s big clash with a split session between backs and forwards in Cape Town earlier on Tuesday morning.

The backline players were put through their paces at the Cape Town Stadium, while the forwards performed their drills at the Green Point Track next door.

Experienced Springbok No 8 Duane Vermeulen said afterwards it was great to be back in South Africa. He plays his club rugby in France and is one of only three overseas-based players in the Bok squad.

“It is very nice to be back amongst team-mates, those I know and also to meet the new faces,” said Vermeulen.

“There is a great spirit in the camp and we all looking forward to the first Test on Saturday. The Irish will come with a huge onslaught and our job this week is to make sure we prepare ourselves thoroughly so we are able to meet that challenge.”

Springbok coach Allister Coetzee will name his match-day 23 on Thursday afternoon at a media conference in Cape Town. The last time the Springboks and Ireland met in a Test on South African soil was 12 years ago, when Coetzee was one of the assistant coaches.

Cape Town - The Junior Springboks have won their opening match at the World Rugby U-20 Championship in Manchester, defeating Japan by 59-19 in fast paced encounter.

Japan led 19-14 at half-time after a spectacular hat-trick by winger Ataata Moeakiola whose pace and power had the Junior Bok defence in tatters in the first 30 minutes of the match.

In the second half however, it was South Africa who came roaring out the blocks, scoring three tries in seven minutes through captain Jeremy Ward (2) as well as a second for Zain Davids to wrestle the match from Japan.

They remained in control and added further tries through Manie Libbock, Mosolwa Mafuma and Carlü Sadie.

Scorers:

Junior Springboks

Tries: Jackson, Davids (2), Ward (2), Libbok, Mafuma, Sadie

Conversions: Bosch (8)

Well done - was quite a nice game to watch - the Bokkies needed a full 40 minutes to wake the fuck up..
