Arsenal's wounded Arsene Wenger

Recommended Posts

This continues to be one of the big football stories of the week.

Of course the Barcelona comeback against PSG is a massive story. Down 0-4 in Paris, Barcelona managed an almost Lazarus comeback.

Needing to score 5 goals more than PSG in The Nou Camp, Barcelona managed just that.

In the last minute of injury time with the score at 5-1 in favour of the home team, Barcelona were awarded a penalty.

The final score of 6-1 saw the Spanish giants advance on aggregate.

However this result is still linked to Wenger by some. However, any pundit would be remiss by not pointing out that Wenger himself has had a rough run in the European Champions Cup. His aggregate against Bayern was 2-10. Ouch!

Unai Emery the PSG coach is not the only disappointed man in their camp. His Quatari owners are rumoured to be furious.

Wenger whose current status at The Emirates is said to be tenuous is linked to the PSG job. Wenger has said that he would not be retiring at the end of the season but said cryptically that he may not finish with the London club.

Time to look for a job Mr Emery?

Time Wenger got sacked. Apart from a couple of FA Cups he has won nothing for the past 12 years.
