As much as I admire AB it would have been the wrong move to recall him.

The news says Faf & Ottis wanted him but the CSA suits declined.......no wonder Markram said publicly he was lucky to be going to the event.

I slept through most of it thankfully but think we have some upside on the bowling side. Coulter Nile and Zampa need to be replaced by Richardson and Lyon. The folly of leaving out Hazelwood is coming home to roost.

Carey looks like a real player!

The Indians do look like they're having fun...........can't see anyone else coming close.

June might be a bad weather month choice for an ICC white ball cricket championship?

May sounded like it was really good weather there............

It has been an unusual rainy start of the summer over here, though. We had rain, and lots of it all day yesterday and it is totally overcast and quite cool at the moment again with rain forecast for the rest of the week.

Coincidentally it is exactly 13 years ago today that we arrived in the UK for the first time ever and that was the hottest day (at that time) since 1976. We had warmer days during the heat wave last summer.

Have to agree but with the Ashes to follow they had no option. For England and Australia the Ashes is still king and will always get the best slot

As long as the weather doesn't influence who wins this event........if it does there's going to be a LOT of gnashing of teeth. One thing's sure.....it will NOT be the Proteas :36_11_6:

Air travel & lodgings not refundable...........the ICC are sure to have an insurance policy to cover potential losses.
