Yep, you want to win it on the field. Not chasing 22 off 1

That would be good but if the Saffer girls get through by default they deserve it by not losing a game to date. They are playing pretty good cricket at the moment, seem to have to best pace attack given all the injuries to Aust players and despite being 0-26 are due for a win.

Coming up midnight. Had been watching the Netflix doco on Gabriel Fernandez - very sad and disturbing story and not helping the sleep patterns

I am liking SA in this series. SA have been competitive with the white ball champions and Australia never do these made for TV series all that well and a lot of the Australian players have had little cricket for a month.

Half right

Good effort by the girls

They were 8 minutes away from going through by default. Plus they were real chance in the game but needed a big one from the openers.

The upside is that the G will be pretty full on Sunday which will be great for women's cricket

So here endeth the local 19/20 SA international season.

Did the Proteas win the ODI series or did Australia chuck it away? At the very least we may have found some new batsmen worth selecting.

Now to India for more lessons.......

Perhaps a bit of both but SA have the wood over Australia in ODI's have won something like 13 of the last 14. Bizarrely Australia now play NZ at home in another meaningless ODI series and then a T20 series in NZ (slightly more meaningful with the T20WC coming into view)

India will be a better test for the new chums but it looks it is trending in the right direction

Do you think there is anything significant with the Stuart Broad and Sam Curran headbands? I can't remember them wearing headbands before.

Anderson also had one last week. I think they couldn’t get haircuts because of corona

imho, all this new crap about BLM & taking the knee etc by the Proteas refers -

As i remember it,  the ANC demanded a quota system for all sporting codes. i definitely don't remember any players complaining when they were selected, but now, years later we hear that they encountered racism  in the team.........?

i also remember a lot of people on this forum being VERY unhappy with the way everything was handled, and they predicted it would all collapse and that standards would drop. They were 100% correct.

And they all said how happy they were and how they had been welcomed into the team

Nothing from Amla so far. I can't believe there is still a problem.

Used to be the same, but this 'taking a knee' blm BS is having a reverse effect on me. In fact I hope the Windies get smashed by the Poms.

nobody seemed to complain about their contracts & payments either, or were they too scared to raise their voices?

Maybe it's time to give up on SA cricket........
